SS-31, also known as elamipretide, is a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide from the Szeto-Schiller series. SS-31 is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed glass vial. For laboratory reconstitution, add the desired volume of diluent (typically bacteriostatic water) slowly down the side wall of the vial. Swirl gently until fully dissolved - do not vortex or shake.
